Great flavors. Lunch specials for 8 bucks with 2 sides. The pineapple pork dish(I can't pronounce) was very good. My buddy got the ".... express" it was very good too. Garlic rice was very good and the greens were awesome. Great lunch spot! Give it a try

Unbelievable tour of Phillipine Cuisine. My friends and eye ordered a freak load of dishes dealers choice. Everything was incredible whether sampled individually or mingling together on the platter.

I have been sick with the flu the couple of days and this pinay wants some comfort food. I looked at yelp. Lo & behold I found a Filipino restaurant in Mobile, Ala. I was like a little child on Christmas Day. I asked my favorite person to go get me some Filipino food. I ordered sisig with double garlic fried rice. Chicken adobo for my man, lumpia, fried okra, biko and some carioca. Sisig was good. Lumpia was good. The fried okra even though it's not a staple filipino was very good as well. I only ate half of my sisig but for sure I'll be eating the other half for breakfast. Jeryl said the place (restaurant) is nice and clean. From now on when we come to Mobile I know I'll have some comfort food awaiting for me. Good job and more power.

We came to Ang Bahay Kubo for my brother's birthday, party of about ten people. They were out of a few things of which they promptly informed us. We were seated quickly, we didn't have to wait too long for the food, the service was great. The food is out of the freaking world. I had the BBQ but I also tried the noodles (I can't remember the name, thin noodles and similar to Pad Thai) and the lemon pepper chicken. Everything was so good, but my favorite was my BBQ. They also brought my brother a birthday dessert which was very good. I will definitely be coming back here to try more of the menu.

Awesome atmosphere and food, service was great. Make sure to get the pork lumpias as an app. Food was top notch for the price, drinks were a little pricey but were well made and they had some original options to choose from. I'm convinced the only reason this restaurant wasn't busier is due to its location off of Old Shell, which isn't obvious unless you're specifically looking to come here. Nevertheless, this place is great and I'll be recommending it to all my friends!

We have never had Filipino food so didn't know what to expect. OMG this place is so good! We got the shrimp Bicol Express and the Sisig. Both were spicy but not to the extreme. Just right The waitress just told me that they are going to start a buffet on Sundays so that will be great as well. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I were in a large group who went here Sunday evening. The food was delicious and the service was phenomenal. We have been married over 52 years, and this was one of the most memorable evenings we have ever spent together. Thank you so much. Linda R.

Customer service was great. They were very patient with us and super friendly. The actual restaurant decor was very charming and romantic. It was our first time eating Filipino food, and we enjoyed it. We would definitely come back.

I really enjoyed visiting this restaurant for my first encounter with Filipino food. The large porch was a wonderful spot to enjoy my meal on a mild, sunny October day. The server was very sweet and had good suggestions. I began with an order of Lumpia that was like a very tasty pork meatball/eggroll hybrid. My coworkers also enjoyed the leftovers when I got back to the office since this is definitely a shareable-sized appetizer. I ordered the pork Bicol Express as my entree. I was warned that it would be spicy, but while it was tasty, it most certainly was not very spicy. It was served with sides of fried garlic rice (very good) and fried okra. Now folks, I have eaten my fair share of fried okra over the years, but this fried okra from a little Filipino restaurant in Mobile is the absolute BEST I have ever had. It was superiorly crispy and perfectly salted. My only complaint would be that the overall meal was quite greasy, but that could be my fault for ordering a pork-heavy meal. Give this new restaurant a try! (And get the okra!)

I finally tried this restaurant and I was very pleased. The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 Stars was because I was not crazy about the clear soup. The staff treated us like family and they were so sweet and fast. The food was amazing. It was cooked to order, very fresh and very tasty.

Like a lot of really good restaurants, you find the best foods in little hideaway places that are not associated with chains. This place is a little hard to find, especially at night. Once in and seated, though, the effort is more than worthwhile. This restaurant serves Filipino and American food. Our party came for the food from the Philippines and we were not disappointed. The meal was one taste sensation after another, starting with the Lumpia and Bihon Pansit appetizers. My companions had Chicken Adobo and Chop Suey with shrimp. As a side all of our meals came with a very good tasting and well cooked white rice. Not that the rice was the only side available (there are 5 others), but that was what we wanted. I had the Sisig. Absolutely delicious with just the right amount of spicy heat. After all was said and eaten, there was no room for dessert of which there are a number of choices. Beer and wine are available. The server was polite and helpful. If there might be one complaint, it would be that our server could have been a bit more attentive.

We were close by running an errand and stopped in to grab some lunch. The service was excellent! The food was very different and interesting. It was delicious! They also have things for people who may not be so adventurous. There are plenty of American food options as well as plenty of Filipino options. We will be back!

My husband and I will be driving down from Birmingham to try it. I'm half Filipina and am excited to have some of my native food in Alabama. Do you all take catering requests? I could use some pinakbet, dinaguang, menudo, sinigang, and adobo pusit! =)

My wife and I stopped in for dinner last Saturday night. This was our first visit here. It's absolutely authentic and totally delicious. The service was excellent and our waitress was super friendly. The food is cooked to order so it's super fresh. Everything was great from the appetizers to the desserts. We already have plans to go back this weekend and you should as well.

Great place, even better food. Came here on my birthday and was pleasantly surprised. I had the BBQ pork, it was delicious and very well presented. (so much I had to take some home)

Our experience was overall good. We'll be back, definitely. The food is great, cooked to perfection. Servers, as well as owners, are super nice. Started with the appetizer, Manila Dip. If you like cheesy, this tortilla plate is for you! My husband had the Lechong Kawali, pork belly, and even though it had great flavor he was slightly turned off by the amount of chewing...LOL. I had the Pancit Bihon, which is one of my favorite dishes, and would recommend anyone trying it. For dessert we just had to try the Halo-Halo. ..and we are glad we did. It's different, to say the least. Great way to end a meal. A must try. The only thing that was a little off-putting was the wait time. We had plenty of time during this visit, but we would not be able to have stayed as long if we had plans for a movie or something afterwards. We kept in mind that they had only been open for 2 weeks prior, so it didn't bother us. I would make plans on being there for a while until they work out the kinks of being new.

I've tried almost all the food on the menu. But my most favored are pinsec Frito and embutsilog. It's delicious!

Went there yesterday to have their Silogs since it is only available on weekends and I've been craving some Filipino breakfast since moving to Mobile a couple months ago. Definitely satisfied my cravings. Portions were a little smaller and prices are about $11-$15 per dish but the place is catered to be more of a restaurant than a fast food type of place so it makes sense. Great place to go for brunch or date night. The place is cute and has a classy sort of atmosphere. It also looks like they have a place for outdoor catering as well! Had their Halo-Halo of course and it was soooo good! As a Filipino here in Mobile where there aren't other options, I would love to see the menu expand more to include other Filipino staples like Kare-Kare or sinigang, etc but I will be thankful for now to have a place that will satisfy my Filipino food cravings. Will definitely be coming back!!! :)

Incredible place. We started with the Lumpia pork appetizer. It was very flavorful and large for an appetizer. For entrees we tried the Kubo Pork BBQ and tocilog sweet marinated pork. The Pork BBQ had a tremendous smoky flavor that was fabulous. The side of fried rice and vegetables were really nice with it. The Tocilog had a nice light sweetness to go with the pork flavor. I'm a sucker for dishes that include a fried egg and that combined with the garlic fried rice was wonderful. The pickled papaya was wonderfully tangy and delicious. I will definitely be going back to try more dishes.

Went for lunch on a Saturday. We had Sisig with the garlic rice and Pancit Bihon. Both very good!! Very friendly staff. Only downside is the building tightly packed with tables and loud but the food makes up for it.

Had lunch there on Saturday. The service was excellent. The servers made sure that my drink was refilled. The lumpia was very well done. It was very light and well presented. I had ordered the Lechon Kawali. The pork was light and the skin nice and crispy. It was very tasty. I think I am going to try the Sisig next time I go there for lunch. They also have Halo-Halo and Banana Turon on their dessert menu.

Thank goodness we found this place. The Chopsuey (shrimp & pork) very delicious and light. I ordered sisig to go and My kids love their sisig and garlic fried rice. Definitely, will bring my family on the weekend for their "Silog". Thank you Ate Gloria and Ate Anna.

This place is great! I didn't really know what to expect, as I'm not familiar at all with Filipino cuisine. I ended up pulling up what was effectively an idiot's guide to Filipino food on my phone and ordering what looked good.

We had the lumpia as an appetizer, which was a large portion of egg rolls - different than I was expecting but delicious. We ordered sisig and chicken adobo as entrees - both were very good, but the sisig was the standout for me. Each came with 2 sides. Plenty of food, and enough for lunch the next day if you don't feel like sport eating (we did).
